My religion, Your religion and Ours religion
“Your daily life is your temple and your religion.
Whenever you enter into it take with you your all”
(2010, Khalil Gibran, The Prophet)

What do you think about some religion that different from your own? That is made you feel uncomfortable? Make you feel disgusting? Some people maybe say yes for the statement, or maybe some people never care about religion. But this is Indonesia where religion is one of most important problem which until now is still being a complicated case.
A few days ago there were a bomb happened in solo, and it held in a church. A few month ago there were a bomb happened in a mosque, so what does it means? Are there any related things between to cases? Until now nobody now about why “they” did all of bomb because we don’t have any criminal, they were died with the bomb. The only one I know from this case is you cannot think that you save even in the holy place. So what is relating you as teacher and differentiation?
As a teacher we will face many problem that talked about a differentiation, it could be religion, ethnic, language or even skin colour (maybe it happened in others country). Sometimes we will face a sensitive case like religion, as we know we are surrounded by thousand islands with different religion and ethnic. For example a case that had been happened in Sampit, it contains both of sensitive problems so what should we do? Should we avoid that? Can we pretend to don’t know about that?. Like Khalil Gibran said your religion is your temple and your daily life, it means your believing is what act you had done in real life, you cannot said A but you did B because your students will watch you as a real model. You are what your body present.
The first things we can do are accept that diversity things as a uniqueness, with a right mind set in an acceptation we can respect to one another. All of us have a right to believe a religion, so accept it, and respect it because we cannot force other’s heart. I hope during learning about Humanistic study we are going learn to accept other people’s perception as beauty of life, you have your own religion and I have my religion so all of we have ours religion in our heart. As a teacher we will face many students, many points of view and many kind of religion. You can be a different but you are not allowed to underestimate other person, every people are created by an awesome creator that we called God. So, when you ignore someone because of her or his belief it means you are throwing your God.
In others words when you choose teacher as your life, you have to learn to respect each others and accept many differentiation as a complementary things in your life. Love person that love you and also person that hate you even hurts you, this is life we don’t know what will happen tomorrow all we can do is doing what the best for today that is what I wanna learn on this course in this semester. I hope we can be a great people with a great mind set in seeing problems through a right way.

absolutely agree with you mbak mei...
however, everything that happen heterogeneity is beautiful. I think the mind set to make peace with differences not only for teachers. It is so important for others. It will be better to spread it to peoples around us... for a better Indonesia. Going to Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, the real unity=)
